Regenerative Skin Treatments
Rejuran in Northcote
One of our regenerative skin treatments: a skin booster made of polynucleotides, purified DNA fragments from salmon, for texture, fine lines and thin skin under the eyes. Given by registered nurses at 312 High Street, Northcote.
How Rejuran supports skin from beneath the surface.
Skin stays firm because of a woven mesh of collagen, made and mended by repair cells. Rejuran is made of polynucleotides, purified DNA fragments from salmon, and is designed to support those repair cells. Select a point on the illustration to see where it comes in. Every treatment journey begins with a consultation with a registered nurse.
-
Rejuran is made of polynucleotides: purified DNA fragments from salmon. Given by a registered nurse, they are designed to supply repair cells with the building blocks and signals they use in their work. This may help the skin keep making its own collagen and elastin over a course of treatments. The skin does the repair work itself, so change is gradual and results vary.
-
Under the surface, collagen and elastin form a woven mesh. These are the natural proteins that keep skin firm and help it spring back. The body makes less of them as we age, and sun exposure, smoking and stress wear them down faster. As the mesh loosens, fine lines appear and, over time, can deepen into wrinkles.
Rejuran is designed to support the repair cells that make new collagen, so the mesh has more to work with. Change comes gradually over a course, and results vary.
-
The skin under the eyes is among the thinnest on the body, with very little fibre or fat to support it. Repair cells make and mend the fibres, and they become less active with age. Thin skin can look crepey and can show the shadows beneath it.
The DNA fragments are designed to support repair cells in this work, which may help thin skin keep making its own collagen. Rejuran does not fill hollows. Your nurse will explain what it can and can’t do for this area.
-
The outer layer is a thin stack of flat cells that the skin sheds and renews. When that renewal slows, the surface can feel rough and look uneven. Sun damage and dryness can add to this. If the fibres beneath no longer support the surface as well as they did, pores can also look larger.
Rejuran is designed to support the repair work beneath the surface, not to treat the surface directly. When the fibres below are better supported, texture may change gradually over time.
-
Water held between the fibres keeps skin supple and helps it reflect light evenly. Hyaluronic acid, a natural sugar that holds water in the skin, plays a part in this. Dry air, sun exposure and age can all reduce the water the skin holds. Skin that holds less water can look flat, dry and tired, and can feel tight.
Rejuran is designed to support the skin’s hydration as well as its repair, which may help skin look less flat and tired over a course.
How Rejuran works over a course.
Change builds gradually, in three stages.
-
Repair cellsRepair cells are supported
Rejuran is given by a registered nurse, after numbing cream. Its DNA fragments are designed to support the cells that make collagen and elastin.
-
FibresFibres have more to work with
With support, repair cells may make new collagen and elastin and mend worn fibres. The skin may also hold more water between them.
-
SurfaceChange builds over a course
Texture, fine lines and hydration may change gradually. A typical course is three sessions, and your nurse reviews your skin along the way. Results vary.
This information is general and is not personal medical advice. Every person’s skin is different. At your consultation, a registered nurse will assess your skin, your history and your goals, and talk through which options, if any, may suit you.

Rejuran questions, answered.
What is Rejuran?
A skin booster made of polynucleotides, purified DNA fragments from salmon. It supports the skin's own repair, so texture, fine lines and hydration change gradually over a course.
Does it work under the eyes?
Under-eye Rejuran treats thin, crepey skin and fine lines below the eyes, using Rejuran i, a finer formula made for the delicate skin there. It aims to improve the skin itself, not to fill hollows. If your concern is hollowness or dark circles from volume loss, your nurse will explain what Rejuran can and can't do, and what else might suit.
How much does Rejuran cost?
Rejuran starts from $599 a session. Under the eyes (Rejuran i) is $599 a session, or $1,599 for a course of three. Full face (Rejuran Classic) is $800 a session, or $1,999 for three. Scars (Rejuran S) are $599 a session, or $1,599 for three. You get an exact quote with your plan at your consultation, before any treatment.
Is Rejuran safe in pregnancy?
No, it isn't suitable while you're pregnant or breastfeeding.
Does Rejuran hurt?
Rejuran can cause some mild discomfort, so at our Northcote clinic numbing cream goes on before your treatment. Tenderness and mild discomfort are common, temporary effects of cosmetic treatments. The appointment takes about 40 minutes. Your nurse explains the risks at your thirty-minute consultation, before you consent to anything.
Who is Rejuran for?
Rejuran is for fine lines, uneven texture, dull or dry-looking skin, and thin, crepey skin under the eyes. It works on the skin itself and doesn't fill hollows. It isn't suitable if you're pregnant, breastfeeding or allergic to fish. Your nurse decides whether it suits you at your Northcote consultation. Results vary.
